SEO Branding

September 24th, 2007 by NoGray SEO

Sometimes when I am building links for some of my clients ask branding and how it works with SEO.

Branding is creating a name or an image that will reference to the business or organization. For example, Apple iPod is the most common and known MP3 player in the market and customers look for an iPod even if they just want an MP3 player. By branding iPod as the MP3 player, Apply successfully created a brand that is synonymous to a device (iPod = MP3 player).

Most companies spend a lot of time and effort to enhance their brand name and make it recognizable to customers which bring me back to SEO Branding. SEO Branding is targeting keywords that will help brand the company name to their products, so if someone was to think of that product (and search for it) the company name will show up first. Also, creating a buzz around the company and their product helps to strengthen the company brand and make it recognizable to the common public.

When it comes to professional branding and marketing, achieving any results can get harder and more complicated. When this time comes, it best to leave your company branding to the professionals. I recently ran into Brand Identity Guru (BiG) who offers an excellent branding service. One of my client want a lot of work done to brand his products line, so I turned to BiG. They did an extensive research and put together a marketing plan that actually worked. With their help, I saved myself a lot of time and saved my client a lot of money.
